Upcoming Events - 2008

The Home Show at the Richland County Fairgrounds in March. Thank you to all who came to see us at the Home Show!

Shearing Day is set for April 22, 2008.

We sheared 28 alpacas in 3 hrs.
Thanks to John Gunther and his crew!
Fleece totals sheared:
Total Blanket fiber - approx. 75 lbs
Total Second fiber - approx. 57 lbs
Total fiber Tally for 2008 - 132 lbs!

Tour - Plymouth High School FFA
April 23, we had 20 FFA freshmen visit and learn about our alpacas!

Tour - Discovery School
April 25th, we had 37 pre-K and 34 adults visit. They learned about 
life on the ranch and how we care for

all our alpacas.

Birthing season begins in early May.
With five babies due by the end of May, you just might catch a new life entering the world.

Summer
This is the time where we pause and relaxed while enjoying our alpacas! We are done with shearing, the spring show season is done and we now just await the much anticipated arrival of our next batch of crias all due anyday now!
As we reflect and hold our biannual board meeting(pizza night with the family)  we evaluate  the first half of the year. So far on the ribbon count, we
have earned 18 ribbons:
2 - Color Champions
6- 1st Places
 4 - 2nd Places
3 - 3rd Places
2 - 4th Places
1 - 6th Place

Already looking forward to the fall season as we have some up and coming juveniles and yearlings we are anxious to get in the show ring!

Bouncing Baby Boy delivered on May 14, 21 lbs -
Charlie is a light fawn and growing like a weed!

Contessa is bred to Rohan and is due May 23, 2008.
Sandy is bred to Rohan and is due May 28, 2008.
Bouncing Baby Boy delivered on May 24, 20 lbs
Anton is a light fawn locked up beauty! He is the first
Rohan cria and his fleece is nice!

Requella is bred to Warrior of Stonebrook Farms and
is due to deliver a grey cria on June 17, 2008.
